Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 19th July 2018, during the 2018 drought, recorded cropmarks of at least three plough-levelled round barrows in fields to the south of Plas yn Rhal, comprising a larger sub-circular enclosure 30m diameter, and two smaller ring ditches between 10-20m diameter to the north and east. Other less distinct cropmarks within the field may represent further round barrows and fragments of former field boundaries.
