A quay constructed in the first decade of the twentieth century in connection with a nearby granite quarry operated under the direction of the Co-operative Granite Quarries Ltd. Three structures, at SH 16051 24748, SH 16118 24784 and SH 16142 24721, appear on the 1918 3rd edn 25? O.S. map, presumably contemporary and likely connected with its construction.
