Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance during the 2018 drought, on 13th July 2018, revealed discrete cropmarks of a rectangular enclosure complex underlying the minor road in the valley south of Primrose Cottage. There is a main sharp-angled rectangular univallate enclosure to the west of the road, with two smaller sharp-angled enclosures cut by the road. The enclosures have the appearance of a Roman villa enclosure but could be of another date.
