Description
Both the 1st and 2nd editions of the historic 25-inch Ordnance Survey maps, published in 1890 and 1906 respectively, depict a small woollen factory at this location in a narrow incised valley, a tributary of the Afon Cych, to the south-east of Capel Iwan. The maps suggest that it was only accessible by footpaths from both sides of the valley. The stream was dammed to form a small mill pond, and the water wheel appears to have been on the south-west end of the building. Modern maps still depict the building as a disused woollen mill.
