Description
Clarbeston Road Signal Box is a Great Western Railway type 7c design, built in 1906 when a junction was made with the existing South Wales Railway line (nprn 402096) to Neyland, to extend the GWR main line to Fishguard. The box is a substantial two-storey red-brick structure under a hipped slate roof. There are blue-brick dressings to the four camber-headed locking room windows, quoins and plinth and an external wooden stairway at the western end. Originally mechanically operated, the box now houses an NX panel, installed in 1988.
