Description

A house of apparently C17 origin but very considerably rebuilt in the late C19 or early C20. No clear evidence of pre-C19 structure is visible outside or in. Gable ends are dated 1686 and 1908. It is said to have been used as the village school from 1691 to c.1830. Squared, coursed sandstone with stone and Welsh slate roofs. C17-type hall-and-crosswings plan. Two storeys. Centre bay is of three windows with projecting gabled wings at each end. Casement windows.
