Description
The Stables, erected in the early 1870s, were originally built as an addition to old Llanvihangel Hall, and so pre-date the house at Tal-y-coed Court. They were designed by F.R. Kempson in the style of Queen Anne Revival. In the late 1980s the stable block was converted to residential use.

It is brick-built with ashlar dressings, a hipped slate roof with lead flashing and brick end-stacks. The two-storey east front has a large central pedimental gable, and above the apex is a small timber bellcote, with four thin wooden posts supporting a gabled canopy and weathervane. The gable-head carries a circular clock face in an oculus of radial brick voussoirs encircled by a stone dripmould. A broad coach entry to the stable yard below has a segmental brick arch and keystone. There are two window openings each side of the arch, on the ground floor. To the right of the stable block is a short section of wall, approximately 3m high, which has an entrance doorway with a similar arched head and boarded door. To the right of the door, the garden wall returns at right angles to link with the main house.
