Description
Worl War II magazine built to a standard design. Said by local people to have been used by army regiments on training exercises. Low rectangular structure of brick front and rear walls, between which are remains of corrugated iron wagon roof. Projecting canted brick end walls, with brick coping; that to front 3m high containing doorway with concrete lintel; that to rear 2m high with internal metal steps. Additional freestanding detached walls in front were designed to limit the effects of a blast. One immediately in front would have obscured entrance, but has partly fallen. Offset in front are 2 splayed walls, each 2m long and 2m high, with brick coping.
