Description
Originally a post-medieval single-storey labourer's cottage or smallholding, shown on the 1842 Tithe survey. In c1900, it was bought by Mr Bushell, an architect, who remodelled it, replacing the windows and adding a veranda. Further additions later. A former detached coach-house was incorporated into the main house c1910 by extending the veranda and building a 1-storey link. Further later additions behind.
A single-storey double-fronted cottage of whitewashed rubble stone, slate roof, brick stack offset to L. 4-pane sash windows under segmental brick heads. Modern lean-to entrance towards centre, R of which is the veranda supported on a brick pier, extended to front later. To R, a glazed addition links to previously detached coach-house, now extended and converted to a studio.
