A slate extraction site consisting of a quarry pit (NPRN 500870) and adjacent spoil heap (NPRN 500869). The site is disrupted on the eastern side by the metaled road (NPRN 500881) which runs through the valley. An earlier route for this road (NPRN 500871) runs around the western side of the extraction site. Methodology: 30 m transect survey. Positional accuracy: less than 10 m.
