Description
The remains of the possible cist or standing stones are located on the northwest facing slope, half way up the mountainside. There are at least four stones ranging in size between 0.3 metres by 0.3 metres to 0.5 metres by 0.8 metres. Three of them tilt at a sharp angle towards the northwest. One is positioned about 20 metres northwest, downslope, of the others. The other three are grouped in an area about 3 metres long and 1 metre wide. This could be a collapsed cist. The ground is quite level over an area of about 4 metres diametre around it. The alignment has excellent views to the south, west and north. However, it is possible that the stones are naturally outcropping rocks, but they seem to be unusual on this mountainside. The ground cover was bilberry at the time of survey. B. Britton & N.A.
