A series of field parcels associated with Bodtalog farm (NPRN 502584). The farmhouse and buildings are located at the northern end of the field system, which extends southwards to the Cwmystwyth to Rhayader road and beyond to the banks of the Afon Elan. Field survey showed that the earlier phases of the field system were largely defined by earth banks but by the end of the 20th century these had largely been replaced by post and wire enclosures, not always conforming to the earlier field boundaries and also incorporating slightly different areas.
