One of a mid nineteenth century classical terrace of two storey houses overlooking the north-west side of Alan Square (see NPRN 400003). The house shows a three bay rendered facade to the square, the ground floor sharing a modern shop front with No. 4 (NPRN 5035). It is two rooms deep with a near central staircase and single storey rear extensions.
