Old slate quarry workings consisting of a V-shaped profiled and slightly curvilinear in plan quarry cut. The quarry measures up to 3m deep with upcast on the eastern side and a further smaller trial quarry to the east. There is also a long spit of spoil to the south of the quarry. It is shown as an 'Old Quarry' on the OS 1st Edition mapping and also shown on the current mapping. It was later superseded by Chwarel Fawr quarry (OAN Site 20). P.J. Schofield, OANorth, 7th June 2007
