Site Record

Tramway running on a south/north orientation for 175m between Ffridd-glyn (Upper) slate quarry (NPRN 505532) in the south towards inclined planes on the northern end. The site survives in part as a large slate spoil constructed embankment measuring up to 12m wide at its base and 3.5m wide at the summit. It bridges a gap over the earlier Ffridd-glyn (West) slate quarry (NPRN 505749) at its centre. The site is shown on the RCAHMW Aerial Photographic interpretation and the OS 1st Edition mapping.
