Described by A J Richards, 1999. Donnen Las, Pit with tunnel access. (Outlier of Bryn-mawr?) Remains: Pit, dressing shed vestiges. OAN site visit 2007. Quarry marked on the current mapping. The complex consists of a large quarry pit with spoil heaps covering an area of 180m square. Much of the spoil is stacked in walls and there are many small shelters measuring 2m by 3m and built within the waste slate. The site is marked on both the OS 1st Edition and current mapping.
