A small dry dock, measuring 86m x 2m, is shown on an Admiratly Chart with its entrance onto the River Usk to the southeast of outlet of Jacks Pill into the main river.

This edition of the Admiralty chart was first published in August 1860 and continued in use with minor revisions until 1886.
