Abutting to the northern side of the Observation Post (NPRN 408402) is a concrete plinth which has sockets for the legs of a metal tower.

Event and Histoical Information:
The nearby observation post and its counterpart on the Dyfi embankment (see NPRN 506534) are likely to have been adapted to incorporate a radiator radar system. The system provided much faster observation results than the previous Kine stations.
