Description
Although not precisely located on the seabed, any remains of this aircraft are designated as a Controlled Site under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986. For further information on this Act and its administration with regard to aircraft, please contact the Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre, RAF Innsworth, Gloucester, GL3 1RZ.

Event and Historical Information:
This OXFORD was built by Airspeed of Portsmouth. It was assigned to Telecommunications Flying Unit (TFU)/Radar and was attached to the Metrological Flight. On 15 October 1945, the aircraft went missing and its presumed to have flown into the sea in Cardigan Bay, some 30m west of Aberystwyth .
