Event and Historical Information:
This Anson was assigned to 21 Operational Training Unit at Moreton in the Marsh. On 26 April 1941, during a cross country navigation exercise, mechanical failure and bad weather caused the crew to bail out abandoning the plane, now low on fuel, 1mile from Nant-y-Bwch Station, near Tredegar. One crewmember broke both his legs, but all survived.
