Event and Historical Information:
The LILY was a wooden schooner belonging to the port of Padstow. At time of loss on 19 October 1907, the vessel was on passage from Newferry to Pentewan with a cargo of coal under the command of master . The schooner missed stays when making for Holyhead and struck the West Mouse Rock. The schooner drifted clear, but on the pumps the LILY was found to be making water faster than the pumps could. Attempts were made to beach the schooner at Cemlyn, but it struck rocks on the west side of Mill Bay and sank.
