Archaeological remains associated with the loss of this vessel are not confirmed as present at this location, but may be in the vicinity.
Event and Historical Information:
On 8 January1859, the Caernarfon and Denbigh Herald reported that a great deal of wrecked wood, boat oars and other materials had come ashore at Towyn (a vessel loss on Sarn-y-Bwch?). A large boat was also located drifting near Aberdyfi and taken into port to be handed over to the Receiver of Wreck.
