Coal level marked as 'old' on 1st ed county OS map. Subsidence has obscured the entrance, to the extent that it is entirely buried except for a short section of coursed rubble-stone revetment on the NE side of the entrance. Possibly part of Graig Colliery & Brick Woprks, since the coal was almost certainly conveyed westwards on a track or tramway (nprn 507408), to an inclined plane (nprn 507397).
Recorded as part of Uplands Initiative Survey. R Hayman, H&H, 16/09/2009.
