Coal level marked as 'old' on 3rd ed county OS map, immediately adjacent to, and probably pre-dating, a C20 tramway incline (nprn 507421). It survives in the form of a cutting 20m long NW-SE, 6m wide and 1.5-2.5m deep. At the tail end is levelled spoil.
