Situated within a leval area to the north of Blaenau Dolwyddelan is a ruined rectangular building. The building measures 8m-long north to south and 4.5m-wide east to west, with 1.2m-high walls constructed from flat slabs of stone and slate. There is a doorway at the southeast corner and a 0.5m-high, 0.3m-wide slit window close to ground level in the gable end to the south. The building is depicted on the 1st edition 6" Ordnanace Survey map of 1891, and is one of two possible shepheard's huts in this location (see NPRN 512565). M.Railton, NPA, 28th October 2010.
