Description
On a south-facing slope to the south of Moel-siabod is a rectangular building measuring 6m long and 3m wide. The building is constructed from drystone walls, which survive to a height of 0.7m, with a stone outcrop incorporated into the west (rear) wall of the structure. The building is subdivided into two separate square rooms, each having its own single square window and doorway in the eastern wall. The building is roofless but otherwise in fair condition and is interpreted a shepheards hut or huts. A sheep fold is depicted in this location on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey map of 1891 but was not seen at the time of the survey. M.Railton, NPA, 29th October 2010.
