Description
Sheepfold marked on the 1887 OS map, next to a sheepwash (nprn 513718). Drystone walls, partly standing to their full height of 1.5m, 12m N-S by 10m. There are entrances in the W and E walls, and a sheep creep in the N wall. A dividing wall is only 4m long E-W so did not divide the fold into 2 cells, although surviving fence posts show that subdivisions were made during its use in the C20. Fence posts also show that a larger cell was added on the E side 25m E-W by 12m.
