Site Record

A three celled rectangular longhouse that is sat parallel with the hillside and is platformed up to 1m high on the west side. The structure measures 14m long by 7m wide and the collapsed walls survive up to 1m wide by 0.8m high. The walls are constructed of double thickness foundations that are part turf covered in places. The longhouse is one of a pair located in a deserted rural settlement (NPRN 514980). The site is shown on the RCAHMW Aerial Photographic interpretation. P.J.Schofield, OANorth, 24th February 2009.
