The remains of this aircraft are designated as a Protected Place under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986. The Act makes it an offence to interfere with the wreckage of any crashed, sunken or stranded military aircraft without a licence. Event and Historical Information:
This Oxford was one of 100 delivered to the RAF between July and November 1939 and it was assigned to 5 Fighter Training School (FTS). It dived into the ground at night near Queensferry on 26 April 1940.
