The wreck lies in 75m of water with its keel orientated 225 (bow)/045 (stern). It has a length of 79m, and a width of 10.3m (McCartney, 2022: 123).

Event and Historical Information:
The wreck was originally located by HMS FOX in November 1976 and was originally thought to be the remains of the HOLYHEAD. The wreck was identified as the screw steamer KENMARE (NPRN 274449) during research by Dr Innes McCartney (2022: 123) for the Echoes of the Deep project, following a detailed survey by Bangor University in July 2019 and its record has been updated to reflect that new research.
