Description
A gently-sloped scoop-shaped depression interpreted a glacial tunnel valley, with a similar yet smaller features to the north. Tunnel valleys are created either by melt water under hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of the icesheet or by catastrophic floods of melt water breaking through at the glacial margin (see similar features 516108 and 516109). The northern 'scoop' is roughly aligned northeast-southwest and has a length of 4.5km and breadth of 0.5km at its widest. The southern and larger 'scoop' is roughly aligned east-west and has a length of 9.6km and breadth of 1.7km at its widest.
