Linear pit marked on the 1887 OS map (the southern end of which appears to have been lost in a large gravel pit - nprn 517232), now grass covered, but possibly a former gravel pit. It is approximately 60m N-S by up to 10m wide and 2m deep. At the N end it curves towards the NE.
