Archaeological remains associated with the PRINS FREDERIK HENDRIK are not confirmed at this location, but may be present in the vicinity. This entry is for the Documented Loss of the PRINS FREDERIK HENDRIK on 8 March 1941.
The wreck of the PRINS FREDERIK HENDRIK was originally identified by the UKHO as UKHO 9920. Research by Dr Innes McCartney (2022: 173) for the Echoes from the Deep project, following a detailed survey by Bangor University in May 2019, concluded that UKHO 9920 is the BOLTONHALL (NPRN 516158) and not the PRINS FREDERIK HENDRIK. The record has been updated to reflect that new research.
