Description
The place name 'Brickyard Ford' is shown on an historic Admiralty chart on the western bank of the Towy. Although, the river is noted as being 1/2 - 1 fathom deep in this area. A road runs down to the western river bank at this location. There is also a clay pit on the eastern bank (see NPRN 518400).

Event and Historical Information:
This edition of the Admiralty chart was first published on 1 June 1839. The survey used to compile the chart were undertaken by Lt H M Denham in 1830. The chart was corrected in 1869-60.
