The wreck of the ISIDORO lies in 95m of water and is orientated 275 (bow)/095 (stern). The wreck is collapsed with the stern being the most intact area. It has a length of 81m overall, and recent surveys (below) confirm that two boilers remain in the centre of the vessel (McCartney ,2022: 156)

The wreck was originally designated by the UKHO as 'Unknown'. Research by Dr Innes McCartney (2022: 146) for the Echoes from the Deep project, following a detailed survey by Bangor University in June 2019, identified the wreck as being dimensionally, positionally, and archivally consistent with the loss of the ISIDORO (NPRN 544270). The record has been updated to reflect that new research.

Event and Historical Information:
Prior to the most recent work, the wreck was located and examined by HMS FAWN in 1977. It was located again by HMS BULLDOG in July 1982. The last UKHO survey took place in 2012.
