Description

The LYNKAR was a modern cabin cruiser that burnt out and sank on 11 September 1971. The two-person crew were taken off by helicopter. The contemporary loss location was given as bearing 112 degrees, 4.55 miles from Ynys Moelfre Light by Lloyds List or 0.25m off Careg Onmen Quarry.

The wreck was located and examined by the UKHO in 2020 and lies in 14m of water, orientated 115/245 degrees. It had a surveyed length of 13.4m, a width of 7.3m and a maximum height of 0.4m above the seabed.
