On OS 1st edition 25in mapping, two tracks are shown converge on an area of firmer foreshore at Underwood, where there is also the annotation 'Mooring Posts'. Modern aerial photograph shows multiple small craft moored offshore and lying in mudberths around an area of saltmarsh extending out from the foreshore.
