Site Record

The quay divided by its small open dock (12m x 6m) is shown on OS 1st edition 25in mapping. The two sections of river frontage measure 13m and 14m. It was first shown on a deed map dating to 1755. The walled coal fold centred on SN04890664 is also shown. Modern aerial photography suggest that is in poor state of repair with itn infilling particualry to the eastern part of the river frontage washed out. Small craft appear still be using it for hauling out/storage.
