This anchorage is defined by the buoyage system (pairs of black and red buoys NPRN 518889-93) between the Salisbury Middle bank and Mostyn Bank.

The anchorage is defined on a historic chart published in 1850 based on surveys undertaken by Lt Lord in 1846.
