Site Record

Dam marked on the 1891 OS map, of masonry construction with a core of earth and rubble. It is L-shaped, bounding the W and part of the N side of reservoir (NPRN520399), each section approximately 30m long. It varies between 3m and 6m wide; the maximum height above water level is 1.5m. The masonry faces are of large stone slabs 1 - 2m thick; the core is now grass-covered.
