DescriptionDespite Admiralty Sailing Directions dating to 1870 being rather dismissive '...affords no shelter even for the smallest vessels it needs no further description', this narrow inlet does provide an anchorage/mud berths for the fishing village of Abercastle. There are cast iron mooring bollards adjacent to the coast path on the southern side. Modern aerial photography confirms its continued use by small craft.
