Event and Historical Information:
The LOUIS ALBERT was a French brig which went ashore at Penarth during the 25-26th October 1859 gale. It was described as completely wrecked in the Pembrokeshire Herald, 11 November 1859, and much damaged in the Cardiff and Merthyr Guardian, 29 October 1859. The crew were saved.
