The run off from a spring is collected into a small pond (measuring some 12m x 9m) and then flows through the small mill building on the stream's northern side. It is shown on charting compiled by Lewis Morris dating to 1740. The complex is also shown on OS 1st edition mapping with the annotation 'sheep fold'. The mill pond can still be seen on modern aerial photograph, as can the mill building.
