Description
Path running diagonally up a very steep N-facing hillside, from the pass at Bwlch Oerddrws to Cloddfa Gwanas quarry (NPRN 401448). The quarry was worked from the 1840s but had been abandoned by the time of the 1890 OS map, which marks the path. The path was probably used by workmen or by packhorses bringing down stone. From the pass the path is approximately 1km long NW-SE, then turns to the W for a further 800m. The lower section above the pass is formed by a ledge 0.5-1m wide, cut into the hillside, and is part covered by scree and partly fallen away. It follows the line of a field wall (NPRN527031), which it cuts through the end of.
