Description
A sheepfold including a semi-circular enclosure and three sheep pens arranged in a rough T-shape. The semi-circular enclosure is 20m by 20m in extent, and is located at the northern side of the group. It has an entrance on the east side and one on the south side into the largest sheep pen. The walls are 0.3-0.6m high. A wall extends northeast from the south side of the enclosure for approximately 20m, and is 0.6m wide and 0.5m high. The three sheep pens comprise a small rectangular cell protruding into the southern side of the enclosure, with a larger central rectangular pen to the south, and a small triangular pen at the southern end. The triangular cell is 7m by 4m, with walls surviving to a maximum height of 0.6m and width of 1m. The central pen is approximately 10m by 4m, with the walls surviving to a maximum height of 1.2m and width of 0.7m. The east wall is cut into the slope of a hill. There is a blocked entrance between the central and southern pens. The small northern pen is 3m by 1.5m in extent. The group is depicted on the 1889 and 1953 OS maps. T.
