Description
A large, roughly circular quarry, approximately 30m in diameter and up to 4m deep, open on the downhill (E) side. There is some exposed bedrock, and turf-covered and grassy mounds in the centre. To the NE is the spoil tip. The quarry is shown on the 1884 OS map, but by the time of the 1901 map, it is marked as 'Old Quarry'.
