One of a line of 6 grouse butts (NPRN 539452) running N-S on the N-facing slope of Pen Plaenau, and marked on modern OS mapping. This butt consists of a water-logged pit approximately 2.5m in diameter and 1m deep, badly eroded and with undercut heather-covered sides. It has an entrance and/or drain on the N side.
