One of a line of 9 relict C20 grouse butts running downhill from SSW to NNE (NPRN 539449), shown on modern OS mapping and accessed by a track (NPRN 539384). This butt is 3m in diameter overall, with an eroded pit 1.2m in diameter and 1m deep, containing 6 vertical iron rods. It has a bank 0.7m wide and 0.4m high, and an entrance to the NE.
