Description
This short section of roughly-built drystone wall extends southeastwards from a linear outcrop. It measures 3 metres northwest to southeast by 0.40 metres wide and up to 0.60 metres high. This is one of a line of similar features extending southeast from this outcrop. They are a common type of feature within the area but their purpose is unclear. They have been recorded as bields, short walls to provide shelter for sheep, but they could be a clearance feature. It was recorded by Trysor during fieldwork for the Moel Ysgyfarnogod Uplands Survey in 2015. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 25 March 2015
