Description
A rectangular three celled farmstead. The building has been constructed using angular quarried stones. The walls are mostly collapsed, standing up to 2m high, apart from the western gable end, which survives to almost full height. The western gable also holds a chimney with a large fireplace. A second chimney and fireplace can be seen in the north-eastern corner of the building and the foundations of a small porch are present in the south-east corner. The remains of further possible doors and windows are partially visible on the southern elevation. A small annex is visible to the north of the building with a small yard to the south. A green lane runs south, away from the farmstead towards NPRN 543079. Overall the building is 30m long by 6m wide. It is shown on the First and Second Edition 6" OS mapping and is marked as 'Glan-llyn-y-forwyn'. The site is also marked on the modern mapping. H. Leighton, OA North, 23rd March 2015.
